  1. Great video Alex. You laid out everything as simply as possible.

What AR are you using for your clients and do you set them up on your account or their own?

Also, is it possible to host a WP blog on your server for your client and have (say) YourClientURL.com/blog redirect to your page with masking?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

Thanks for your great questions Patrick.

I am using several autoresponder services depending on my clients. Most of my clients are on aWeber though. I have several self hosted autoresponder services as well.

All of the autoresponder campaigns that I set up for clients are on my personal account since they allow you to change the company name and address for each campaign. This makes it easier for me to manage their accounts as opposed to having several accounts for each of my clients.

As far as your question about hosting WP blogs on my server, you can absolutely host them on your server and use redirects but the question is, what are you trying to accomplish with that?

I typically include a domain name and 1 year of hosting with all of my packages which works well since again, it makes managing their work easier plus gives them an ADDITIONAL reason to stick with me besides the continual work I do for them. If for some reason we end the business relationship, I either keep the asset (domain name and website) or they just keep it on their own hosting depending on the type of agreement and pricing that was made originally.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I’m here to serve!

    Thanks for the leads Alex!
Great video, high quality work there kid ;)

I like your comment to Patrick too. Including a domain name in the package has a lot of posibilities. hmm…

Thanks Glenn. I like including domain names since I am more familiar than they are to what keyword rich domain names look like just to get an additiona, yet slight, advantage in the search engines. Most offline businesses like branding their business name or something like that. However, most searches are done for specific phrases and not their company name.

Some of the best packages that I offer include several domain names to capture leads which then forward to their main branded site if they already have a website. If they don’t, even better since I can create this “HUB or catch all” information site.

This makes them feel like I’m valuing the previous work they’ve done on their website.

By the way Glenn, great work on your directory! That’s a great approach for serving specific communities and leading to bigger client work. A great strategy to consider with your local directory is to target several chambers of commerce and barter ad space on your website for free memberships in order to put you in front of their audience.

Give it a shot. I’m sure you’ll be happy with the results!
