I want to teach you a quick and easy method to add value to your offline clients.

Not only is this method powerful for lead generation, its also amazing for client retention.

In fact, I used it when I owned my two mortgage companies in the past and it works even better now than it did before.
What’s the secret method that most offline businesses don’t use or even know about?

Easy, teleseminars.

Here’s how it works.  You clients can partner with similar companies and invite each of their prospects to a 30-45 minute teleseminar (either instructional or a Q & A session) and then present them with an opportunity to engage further at the end of the call.

Here’s where it gets better. They can also invite their past clients to this teleseminar to engage them after the sale (perfect for client retention) and it also adds social proof since they’ve already done business with you.

Do you know how much money you can charge for this? Forget about it.

Then, once you go through it, begin using the same exact method to grow your offline consulting business. You’ll be grad you did.

Be sure to let me know the valuable lessons that you learn.
The way I see it, we can help each other grow!

How To Move The Free Line In Your Offline Consulting

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

LeadWithAGivingHandIf you’ve been in the online community for some time, then I don’t doubt you’ve heard the gurus talking about moving the free line. In fact, the term was made famous by Eben Pagan, who in my eyes, is one of the most brilliant and insightful business strategist (not just guru).

The free line is all about adding value first before ever asking for anything in return. Before I ever heard of “moving the free line” in the internet marketing niche, I was already accustomed to the same principle that was summed up in this phrase; “Lead with a giving hand.”

Now that you have an understanding of moving the free line, how can you use this strategy to enhance your efforts within your offline marketing consulting business?

Here are 3 quick ways, and in the next post, I’ll share with you the exact way that I’m doing it.

  1. Offer a Free Website Repair – this means that you will analyze their current website and make necessary adjustments such as on page SEO, adding a call to action, or something that will add tremendous value to your prospect.
  2. Offer A Free Niche Specific Article – a free article related to their niche is something of high value that they can offer to their website visitors in exchange for an opt in. Most businesses don’t realize how easy it is to come up with content using EzineArticles.com or GoArticles.com.
  3. Offer A Free Marketing Consultation – this is the more direct one however, a lot of businesses need marketing strategies since they’re usually stuck in their marketing box that is often outdated.

These 3 free line strategies are a great place to start if you’re considering adding up front value to your offline business prospects. Free valuable information or resources completely lowers the barrier of entry.  It’s a powerful approach to use both with your prospects and also to teach business owners on implementing a similar free line process.

Believe me, though we take it for granted online, offline businesses will see it as a God sent.

Proof That Offline Consulting Leads Are Everywhere

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

I was sitting at my home office today wondering what kind of value I can give you guys today, and I decided to create a video showing you 3 simple ways to get brand new clients into your consulting business.

Its quite easy to get leads once you know where to look. In this video, I show you three free ways you can start getting leads for your offline consulting business. Once you watch the video, be sure to leave your comments on other effective ways to generate leads for your offline marketing consulting business.

Do you think these strategies are easy to implement for your business? Let me know your thoughts.

I’m spending some time at a local library with my 8 year old son Christian (you’ll probably be hearing more about him later) and helping him do homework.

Anyway, as soon as we walked in, I picked up a local magazine here in Chicago called the Reader. I didn’t pick it up for the usual reasons; reading about all the violence and negativity in the economy.

No, I picked it up cause its filled with ACTUAL BUSINESSES that are currently paying money to place ads in there.

Did you actually think there weren’t any businesses willing to spend money for marketing in this economy?

WRONG!!!

Here’s a list of a few businesses that paid for advertising in this magazine, and this isn’t even a major magazine:

  1. Maple Spa – local health spa
  2. KMT Health Food Store – specialty food store
  3. Affordable Portables – a furniture store
  4. Panic Anxiety Recovery Center – (Check this out – they’re promoting a free brochure. How much more response would they get for a 5 page special report)
  5. Superior Eye Care – vision care
  6. Shaw Legal Services – bankruptcy attorney

WOW, this is all just in the first few pages.

There you have it. I’ve found tons of leads for my offline consulting business simply by picking up a local newspaper at the library while helping my son with his homework.

Now that you see how simple lead generation is, you may have realized that the problem isn’t getting leads but taking the action to contact them.

That leads me to my last blog post entitled How To Overcome Your Fear Of Speaking To Clients.

If you haven’t achieved success in your offline consulting business, it may be because you have a fear that is paralyzing you from making contacts with clients who desperately need what you offer.

Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think.

How To Overcome Your Fear Of Speaking To Clients

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Overcome Your FearsOne of the biggest hurdles in finding success in your offline consulting business is actually talking to business owners and prospects. The reality is that this type of fear of uncertainty and possible denial applies to anything, not just your businesses.

Everyone experiences fears that keep them from achieving what they truly desire. It’s the ones who move on despite their fears that find there was nothing to fear in the first place and the worst really isn’t that bad.

However, I don’t want to completely dismiss this feeling that you may be experiencing; it paralized me at first too!

Here’s a quick thought process that’ll help you come face to face with your fears and completely annihilate them. It worked for me and many others, and I’m certain that I’ll work for you.

The first thing that you must absolutely realize is that you ALREADY bring tremendous value in your offline consulting business! There are things that you’ve learned, methods that you’ve experienced, and marketing strategies that you’ve tried that qualified you.

Even if you haven’t had much luck in affiliate marketing or product creation, do you think the learning and discovery process you went through hasn’t given you nuggets of information that most local business owners don’t have?

When is the last time you heard a hair stylist talk about list building? How about a pediatrician who routinely discusses the latest google slap? I don’t think so!!!

So, like I already said, its not a matter of when you have enough knowledge and experience to start making real money with your offline consulting business, it’s a matter of when you believe in your knowledge and experience.

Now that you know the shift you have to make in your mind (this is always first), your actions have to follow in order to retain yourself to confront your fear and change your experience to one of delight and absolute joy.

How can you do that you may ask. Simple. Don’t focus on being a taker. Instead, be a giver.

Realize that part of this fear is that a stranger will say no to paying you for something that you provide. We often take this as a rejection of us, not a rejection of our offerings.

However, if your upfront purpose is to give value and truly help, there’s nothing threatening about that.

I can go around all day giving value and business advice without hesitation because there are very few who will reject good business advice. In the process of dropping ‘value seeds’, the question will arise, “What do you do?” This is exactly where you present your offer since they now give you an open invitation rather than barging through the door selling every service known to man.

So that’s it. First recognize the value you have to offer and then give it freely. Eben Pagan calls this moving the free line, however, we are doing it directly for good ol’ offline business owners rather that digitally through our website.

The process is simple, and if you start every day with the thought of reaching out to 5 business owners to give value to, soon  the fear will be irrelevant and your offline consulting business will begin to soar!
